Dr. Holt attended Duke University and earned her MD degree at Wake Forest University. She is board certified in Endocrinology, and practiced general Endocrinology for many years in Raleigh, NC. Dr. Holt then transitioned to the pharmaceutical industry in Medical Affairs. She is currently Head of Global Clinical, Medical, and Safety at LifeScan.
Additional roles include Assistant Consulting Professor of Medicine at Duke University School of Medicine, Co-Director for Taking Control of Your Diabetes, and Board of Directors for American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.
She has been named 5 times as one of America’s Top Physicians, has received a Patient’s Choice award 4 times, was named 3 times as Top Endocrinologist, has received a Top Doctor award, and was given a Lifetime Achievement Award from Who’s Who.
Dr. Juan Pablo Frias is Medical Director and Principal Investigator of National Research Institute in Los Angeles, CA. He received his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and completed his Fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Frías has held academic positions at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, Barbara Davis Center for Diabetes, and the University of California San Diego School of Medicine. He has been involved in diabetes and metabolism-related research for over 25 years and has authored numerous publications in this field.
